The Solar Plexus Chakra is one of my favourite chakras (if thats even a thing??!) This energy centre is all about personal power! Whoop! Own that life baby!
Ego gets a bad rap in my opinion. It's ok to have a healthy sense of self, just don't let your ego own you. You own your ego and emotions, not the other way around. Think of your solar plexus as your own personal solar panel, helping you to power yourself to live your purpose. Balance here will mean you have a great metabolism, fabulous self esteem, be clear on your purpose in life and take a healthy responsibility for your direction in life.
What is a chakra and why should I care?
Chakra is a sanskrit word which translates to wheel or disc and they are the energy centres in our bodies. When our chakras are in balance we feel happy and grounded in our lives and will experience life as it should be, without pain, hardships or illness. When we are out of balance things can be very uncomfortable for us.
Each chakra is developed in turn from the second trimester of pregnancy through to adolescence. Most people are aware of the seven main chakras which are shown as different coloured points moving up the spine, as in the image below.
Our chakra system contains two lines of energy (liberating and manifesting current) which help keep these 'discs' spinning cleanly, we can also gain insights into our lives from the messages our chakras give to us, as long as we know how to read the messages.
The Solar Plexus Chakra Our third chakra to develop the Solar plexus represents the element of fire 🔥
To tune into the energy of the solar plexus tune into the energy of a toddler. This chakra develops between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old. The demon of this energy centre is shame so to balance this chakra will mean releasing any unresolved shame in your being.
Balance here will find you able to take positive steps in the right direction at all times, enable calculated risk taking and a spontaneity and playfulness to life.
Represented by the colour yellow, located over your solar plexus (diaphragm) and reenergised by the chanting sound of RAM.
Good questions to ask yourself when focussing on the solar plexus:
Do you struggle with low energy?
Are you easily manipulated?
Addicted to coffee and sugar?
Are you the more dominating and controlling, manipulative and stubborn one in relationships?
These are all signs of an imbalance in your Solar Plexus Chakra.
Located about one palm width underneath your belly button you can use this chakra to tune into your intuition by placing your hands over this spot during meditation. The third energy centre governs your metabolism, personal power, will, self-esteem and helps you take healthy responsibility of the direction of your life. Helping you to tune into your purpose and build self-esteem.
Do you notice or have the following?
Weak willed or easily manipulated?
Need to be right or have the last word?
